Here’s a nice example of the #permaculture principle of stacking functions. This is the living roof of one of our duck houses. It protects their house from the elements, but it also: 1) harvests sunlight and water, 2) grows lots of kale and chickweed for our ducks, 3) and grows lots of strawberries and garlic chives for us.
