The philosopher Immanuel Kant thinks and argues that space is a construct used by the mind to make sense of external reality. I drew this in order to better understand the idea. Basically space does not necessarily exist, it is a way of thinking and viewing things in relation to one another.

So we have a stick person and 8 lines, they all look very flat, though already they are on a 2D field of space. Move those lines around a little and we start to get the illusion of 3D space. Connect those lines and voila! we have an illusion of a 3D space. If it is that easy to do on paper I can only imagine it could be easy for the mind to do with external reality.

This idea is kind of useless because it doesn’t really change anything concretely/ However, it does give one the interesting experiment of trying to think of things not in space, as well as reminding us that things may not be as they seem…
